Anyone who has ridden an electric unicycle knows that the pedal grip, size, shape and position are very important factors for riding safety and wheel control. This has inspired Begode (formerly known as Gotway) to produce new lightweight aluminium honeycomb pedals. The Hexa design helps also mud and sand on the pedals to fall through the holes so that it does not interfere with driving when left underfoot. To improve the grip, small screws are added to the pedals surface, which will prevent the foot from slipping.
The Hexa pedals are also 57mm longer and 3mm wider than the original ones. For people with larger feet, this is a great way to improve riding experience. One important difference between original and new pedals is that the rider can adjust the pedal tilt angle. To do that, there are 2 screws on the wheel side of the pedals, which can be turned in or out as desired. The net weight for Hexa pedals is 1,8kg.
How anyone likes these new pedals will be revealed during the test. They can definitely be recommended to people with a larger footprint, those who have a more active driving style or a desire to continue driving in the snow, for example.
The Hexa pedals are compatible with Gotway MSuperPro, RS, Ex, Monster Pro and also Veteran Sherman.
