Inmotion unicycle comes with advanced controller system
V14 EUC is controlled by a high performance Inmotion Raptor controller, familiar from Inmotion V13, that boasts a sleek, modular structure complemented by neat cabling and connectors that meet motorcycle waterproofing standards. It comes with 42 high-voltage tolerant mosfets at 200 Volt, resulting in a 40% increase in voltage margin, combined with 18 capacitors that can support a continuous current of up to 450 amps. A double-layer design brings robust heat dissipation performance. This ensures a strong power output while providing ample safety even during extended uphill climbs.
Inmotion V14 with rugged high-tech motor
V14 Adventure engine power is rated 4kW with a peak power up to 9kW, and instantaneous power as high as 12kW. The Inmotion engine is equipped with C40 steel magnets coupled with 6mm phase wires that can provide greater torque and power compared to other similar products on the market. This delivers an 850 Newton of wheel tractive force. Motor’s temperature has been reduced by 50 percent that in combination with temperature monitoring is ensuring safety and efficiency, preventing hazards related to overheating. Highest quality aluminum alloy a365.2-t6 that has been used for motor has increased its strength by 35 percent making V14 prepared for various jumps and bumpy challenges. The motor employs oil seal technology with IPX6 waterproof rating.
Ride as you like – Sport mode or Comfort mode
V14 adventure has two riding modes: Sports mode and Comfort mode. In sports mode the acceleration response of the motor is increased by 47% providing users with an astonishing power response. Comfort mode offers extended battery performance to handle a variety of riding scenarios. In-house developed algorithms for vector control, posture detection, and motor control provide V14 with power response as fast as 1 ms. The acceleration from 0 to 50 kph takes mere 2.5 seconds and the free spin speed goes up to 110 kph. Having this kind of propulsion power reserve, makes the wheel not just more capable, but also more safe.
Progressive suspension system.
V14 Adventure is equipped with expertly engineered suspension designed for off-road performance. It is featuring Inmotion’s progressive shock suspension system, first in the industry. Progressive spring is responsive in smooth surface riding with occasional bumps, as well as in big jumps and drops avoiding the bottoming out that is the problem with regular shocks. The system has been tested with 90kg rider dropping at 1m height.
The suspension uses the standard 200mm shock that can be replaced with any other shock. Inmotion V14 suspension travel is 85mm and it can be adjusted for preload, compression damping (17 levels) and rebound damping (8 levels). Suspension sliders have been sealed with oil seals and low-friction bushings. The whole suspension setup lets the rider to find suitable settings for according his/her riding style and weight for different riding scenarios.
Inmotion V14 battery with quick release and smart BMS
Inmotion V14 battery specifications: battery is 134-volt system with 2400Wh based on Samsung cells (50GB or 50S) that offers up to 120km range in economy mode. This is an average of 20Wh/km. Trail riding and hill-climbing can get the consumption up to 35-40Wh/km, resulting in a shorter possible range. Inmotion V14 excels with its battery designed to offer riders many advantages not available in the EUC industry before.
What is the charging time of Inmotion V14?
If you have your 16A charger with you, you may recharge the 50GB battery to 80% in 1-hour pit stop. Or get another 10 km range in 5-min charge. It is even faster with 50S cells that can take in 25A/hour. Samsung 50 cells are performing better in high current being discharged or charged, 50GB cells perform better in longevity – better battery life-cycle length.
Smart battery management system
Inmotion V14 electric unicycle features Smart Battery Management System that monitors information from each cell. Users can monitor battery information in real time through the app including cell voltage, current temperature and capacity. Any abnormalities will be promptly alerted with recommended actions, ensuring rider complete safety throughout the journey. The battery’s balancing function reduces the risks caused by battery voltage differences and contributes to the lifespan of the battery.
Unique quick release battery replacement system
Adventure features the industry’s first quick release battery replacement system allowing to change the batteries in just under 10 minutes. New redesigned wheel structure enables to remove all batteries without dismantling the controller. This also addresses some concerns about battery life and enhances the wheel’s long-term maintenance efficiency. All four individual battery packs are equipped with waterproof quick release plugs and each battery set can be used independently to ensure the rider safety.
How waterproof is Inmotion V14? What does the IPX6 mean?
Inmotion V14 is advertised as IPX6 electric unicycle. Number 6 means it is with higher water-proof class than any other unicycle. IPX6 means it’s not just safe to ride it in the rain and wash with water, but it’s also ok to wash with jet-wash. The IPX6 rating is applicable for the new wheel. After a crash or a maintenance job, it may not be waterproof any more.
Adjustable angle headlight
V14 Adventure is the first wheel to have an adjustable angle headlight. It is easy to adjust it with a gentle twist for high speed or slow technical ride.
High load capacity and low center of gravity
V14 net weight is 39kg, that is heavy, but manageable. It is tested for riders (with gear) up to 140kg. The wheel structure is compact and with low center of gravity. This enhances the riding stability and comfort.
